Joseph Smith's First Prayer and The First Article of Faith

 Hello, Friends. Today I'm going to teach the second verse of Joseph Smith's First Prayer and as our Special Guests, Skinny and Tesler are going to learn The First Article of Faith with you.

For this verse of Joseph Smith's First Prayer, I'm going to use face expressions and drawings to help teach the meaning of the words. I do draw a few versions of the faces and I hope your child feels like they can draw it any way they want. But I did want to warn the perfectionists out there that if they are trying to copy exactly what I do, you might want to you a pencil with an eraser. I make mistakes and change my mind...I can do that with a dry erase board. I hope it all goes well.

 Hello everyone! Today's video has a lot of variety. I start with our new opening song, sing some fun songs, sing a song for the Come Follow Me lesson, teach the song of the month, introduce The Living Christ and a song that puts it to music and finally a cutting activity to introduce our new closing song.

For the rest of January, we are going to learn Joseph Smith's First Prayer, Hymn 26. We're going to start backwards, of course. I'll teach verse 4 then 3. Then in the next two weeks, I'll teach 2 and 1. Each verse is important to the song and the story of when Joseph went into a grove of trees to find out how he could repent of his sins and which church to join.

 The Living Christ was written by the prophet and apostles in 2000 and set to music by Cassie Gadd in our stake.

I will follow God's plan

 Happy New Year! We are going to slowly make some changes this year. We'll have new opening and closing songs. We will learn "I will follow God's plan" to replace "The Church of Jesus Christ" today. This year we will have a special guests. Today's special guest is Br. Tingey from the bishopric. We will have a new list of songs to learn, just in case we can have a Primary Program next October. And I'm excited to support Come Follow Me lessons for studying the Doctrine and Covenants. I also hope to teach a few or all of the Article of Faith songs and maybe introduce the kids to The Living Christ. It's going to be a great year.
